The Last Ten Days
March 7, 2010
10 days + magical snowy nights = Vipassana Meditation
a silent meditation course that drove you deep within.
This was the view from my dorm window
Where to begin on translating my experiences within these last ten days? Much has happened to the roles of my emotions that have blindly tethered this life. I have been given the opportunity to become a little more affectionate with this kindred spirit bathing all around us. Wild and crazy were definitely supplied. A momentum of fear, pain, tension, release, camaraderie and most of all love and compassion.
Michelle Wong making a snowman that later got taken down by management.
The weather was so symbolic of our journeys as it snowned and stormed the first half and the latter sun and warmth. The food was prepared with such love that the vegetarian dishes just gifted us with comfort. The silence amongst halls and pupils brought the observations of how and what some did to keep the sanity. I.e the snowman creation reminded me of the movie Cast Away where Tom Hanks had a friend (the vollyball.)
My intentions are not to paint anything for you as it is best to experience it for yourself. Everyone that I spoke to on the last day had their own feedback and personal touch. If you’re interested in tapping within and experiencing something like no other than I encourage you to take that move forward.
